Herb Modrak started his career in the financial industry as a Middle Office Analyst on the trading floor with Wachovia Securities, holding various roles and getting his Series 7 and Series 63. He later moved to SunTrust Investment Services as a Margin Analyst, serving in that role for two years, then was promoted to OSJ (Compliance Principal) for the Mid-Atlantic Wealth Team after acquiring his Series 24 and earning his MBA from Virginia Commonwealth University.
After his time at SunTrust, Herb held numerous roles in the areas of compliance, management, business analysis at various brokerage firms, including Cambridge Investment Research, Inc.
Although he joined the Greenwood Financial Group team in February 2022, he has worked with the team since 2019 serving as their OSJ.
Herb enjoys spending his free time with his wife, Erika, and their three children, Payton, Holden, and Rylan. Their active lives include going to the beach, traveling, and supporting the kids’ sporting events, especially swimming, soccer, and basketball.
